Biography

Spig (Dick) Johnson's music career spans 5 decades from his days as a member of Rivercity recording on the STAX label in the early 70's and lately as an individual recording artist. His music style is pure ARKANSAS, ranging from bluegrass to country and rock-n-roll with an eclectic touch. On the CD "Spig - Good Stuff" he surrounds himself with some of the strongest players from the Austin country and folk scene. Produced by Tommy Byrd (Byrd and Street) at Byrdhouse Studios in Austin, this music will take you back to your back porch when times were much more peaceful.
