American's Dream

Driving down another long road I heard an old song from sixty-four
Nothin really special about those days just me and my friends – rolling
That was a time the world was mine I could be anything, just had to decide
cause I was one of the lucky ones who was riding – America's Dream

somebody else would be digging that ditch

I bought a guitar the very next day, started a band and was – rolling
Vietnam was heating up but that was a million miles away
we were safe at home, we were playing our songs , we were riding – America's Dream
