Biography

Tom Cantrell is a singer/songwriter raised in the far west Texas town of El Paso. Tom moved to Austin where he studied music at the University of Texas and played a role in the evolution of the city's live music industry, playing music and producing a series of television programs featuring Austin singer/songwriters called "The Austin Connection." He has toured as a performing musician throughout the United States and Mexico. Recently, Tom co-produced and performed on an album featuring legendary Texas singer/songwriter, David Rodriguez called "Racing Aimless." The album was selected by Third Coast Magazine as on of the top albums of 2012. Tom now lives on his farm in central Arkansas.
