Mountain Fever Records is excited to announce the new single, “Don't Wash Away Our Home,” from Appalachian Smoke. “Don’t Wash Away Our Home” is a stampeding battle cry with fresh foundations in banjo, resophonic guitar, and mandolin that are characteristic of a classic bluegrass tune on perseverance and deliverance. This single from the upcoming self-titled album further establishes Appalachian Smoke’s roots in traditional bluegrass and elevates the band among bluegrass traditionalists that value the resurgence of banjo leads.

“This song is based on the events of the 1940 flood in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina. Cloudbursts, torrential rains and landslides claimed millions in damage and a few lives. One of many hard times the good Lord saw our people through,” Mikel Laws says.

This song features Mikel Laws on banjo and lead vocals; Jamie Mason on guitar and harmony vocal; Kenneth Rymer on resophonic guitar; BJ Taylor on mandolin; and Tim Williams on bass.

We hope you enjoy this phenomenal new track and add it to your playlists today! Please let us know if we can be of any assistance with your programming needs.

Sincerely,
Mountain Fever Music Group
