Biography
Laney and Bishop have a rich heritage and deep roots in the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville. Both artists were raised in vibrant musical communities with fathers who were integral parts of the local music scene. Colby Laney and Danielle Bishop, despite performing with many of the same musicians for over a decade, did not meet until the fall of 2022. Their serendipitous meeting has now blossomed into a powerful musical partnership.
Danielle Bishop is an acclaimed fiddler having won numerous titles at prestigious events like Fiddlers Grove, the Galax Fiddlers Convention and the Georgia Mountain State Fair. She made history as the youngest to win Fiddler of the Festival at Fiddlers Grove and has been featured in The New York Times a unique charm to their shows.

Colby Laney, with his extensive performance history, has graced the stages of the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman and has performed across almost the entire lower 48 states before turning 25. Laney is also a celebrated songwriter known for hits including the #1 song "Rich Man's Daughter," earning accolades such as IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year and Song of the Year with the group Volume Five.
