Biography

Forgotten Rest (a christian influenced rock band) was founded in 2008 by two sets of brothers (cousins in fact): Jeren (vocals, Keyboard) and Nelson Browning (Drums), Tanner (Guitars) and Brooks Browning (Bass).
Since the forming of the band they have been writing and composing thier debut album release “Winter Redemption”.

Most people that have heard Forgotten Rest believes that they sound like other Post-Grunge bands like: Red, Breaking Benjamin, Evans Blue etc. with similar construction in their music. Heavy hard hitting intro's, deep verses and melodic choruses.

The name Forgotten Rest was interpreted from band members as the "rest" tha is freely given from God to us to ease our daily burdens. This is the rest hat has now been "forgotten" in today's society. Forgotten Rest is a rock band that may play hard, but have Christian influenced themes and lyrics like other so called "Christian rock bands" (Red, Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Desciple).

Forgotten Rest's debut album "Winter Redemtion" is the first full length album to be put out by Forgotten Rest March 19th 2011.
The idea of winter redemption is the symbolic difference between winter and spring, and how spring redeems us from winter. Whether it is in our own lives, our families or our country, we all need to be redeemed from winter.

Winter Redemption delivers a unique sound in the alternative/rock industry. With deep heavy guitars, big bass, aggressive drumming, epic vocals, melodic piano and strings will bring a melody that will not be easy to forget.
