Recent Honors plus the #1 album 4 weeks in a row
August 19, 2010 (Nashville, TN) - The International Association of Independent Recording Artists, IAIRA, who recognizes and honors artistic achievement, technical proficiency, and overall excellence in sound recording by monitoring chart activity has qualified the song, “Always Have, Always Will” written by Brandon Rickman and Chris Stapleton as a Certified International Top 10. The song appears on Brandon Rickman’s debut solo album, “YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL.” Not only is Brandon an award-winning songwriter, he also contributes his distinctive lead vocals and guitar talents to the award-winning LONESOME RIVER BAND.

The album, “YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL” was released in June 2009 on Rural Rhythm Records and has achieved tremendous chart success and accolades along with three of his original songs also gaining attention: "Always Have, Always Will," "I Bought Her a Dog," and "Wearin' Her Knees Out Over Me."

Album Featured on Sirius XM Track by Track
Arcadia, CA (April 28, 2010) Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce Brandon Rickman’s album, “YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL” will be featured on Sirius-XM radio’s Track by Track show hosted by Kyle Cantrell debuting May 19, 2010 at 11:00 am with additional airdates on May 20 (9:00 pm) and May 23 (11:00 am) - all Eastern Daylight Time.

“YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL” has garnered numerous accolades since its release last year. The CD was named one of “WNCW Radio’s Top 50 Bluegrass CDs of 2009” and “KSON Radio’s Top 50 Bluegrass CDs of 2009.” It has also been a huge radio hit charting at: #11 on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s Top 15 Albums (4/10); spending 4 consecutive weeks as the #1 album on the Roots Music Bluegrass Report (3/18-4/2/10), #17 on Bluegrass Music Profiles Top 30 Songs (2/10) to name a few. ‘YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL” has also achieved impressive retail sales as evidence by its #__ spot on this week’s Billboard™ Top 50 Bluegrass albums.

Numerous tracks from the CD have achieved chart success as well including the first single release, “Always Have, Always Will,” written by Brandon Rickman and Chris Stapleton. The song is currently #16 on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s Top 30 songs along with yet another single, “I Bought Her a Dog” (written by Rickman) at #22 on the same chart. Another Rickman original, “Wearin’ Her Knees Out Over Me” recently won Strictly Country Magazine’s Spirit Song of the Year.

Brandon is of course a member of the hit bluegrass group, LONESOME RIVER BAND along with Sammy Shelor, Andy Ball, Mike Hartgrove and Mike Anglin. Rural Rhythm Records just released the group’s first single, “Record Time Machine” from their upcoming second album on the Rural Rhythm label set for release this summer.

Brandon Rickman flies solo on “Young Man, Old Soul
(June 16, 2009) Last month, Rural Rhythm Records released the first single, “Always Have, Always Will” by Brandon Rickman on Rural Rhythm’s Fresh Cuts & Key Tracks #5 bluegrass radio compilation CD. The song is from Brandon’s upcoming album, “YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL” set for release June 30, 2009, produced by: Jimmy Metts and Brandon Rickman. Radio already has high praises for this first single including Terry Herd, host of the Into the Blue on the Bluegrass Radio Network saying, "This track is not only filled with soul, it fills my soul. It won't take long to top the charts." Gracie Muldoon calls it “A HUGE HIT! Steaming with hot vocals, and instrumentation—it’s a hot one being served up here on WorldWideBluegrass.com.”

There are numerous tracks on the album that will surely please bluegrass fans including “Always Have, Always Will” written by Chris Stapleton (The Steeldrivers) and Brandon Rickman. Joining Brandon on the tune are: Terry Eldridge (The Grascals) on harmony vocals, Randy Kohrs on resonator guitar, Aaron McDaris (Rhonda Vincent & The Rage) on banjo, and Jenee’ Fleenor (Terri Clark) on fiddle.
