Biography

Finally settling on a name in 2010, the Windsor Oaks Band has been together almost a decade. Carolina natives Alex Shepherd (an avid water skier and drummer) and Shane Smith (talented tennis teacher and gifted guitarist) have played music together since childhood. Rhode Island-born Brandon Scott McLean found himself in NC by way Ithaca, NY, chasing the American Dream and a more enjoyable climate. The band has produced 2 full length albums, an EP, and several promotional videos over the years, and played over 1000 shows in 14 states and counting. Brandon has released two solo albums and a Christmas collaboration EP, and has had several near death experiences while on tour. When we asked the band why they are holding this contest, they unanimously said “Life is short, we love music videos, and we love the internet, they go together like a horse and carriage...”
