Fashioned from the heart of tradition and infused with adrenaline, the Urban Monroes’ contemporary bluegrass style is an outgrowth of the combined skills of some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest talent. As individuals the Urban Monroes have earned bluegrass instrument championships, a National Endowment for the Arts award and songwriting accolades. They have been featured on the Emmy award winning PBS series Art Beat and their musical experiences have taken them around the world.
The Urban Monroes have 5 CD's out including: One Fret Makes a Difference, Pavement and Pathways, Appaloosa Daydream, Bits and Pieces and Playing in the Snow.
