Biography
Through their unique instrumentation, they have masterfully developed an electro acoustic sound that melds Jazz, funk, and music from around the world. TriTone Asylum’s music reflects the varied musical landscape of the sounds and street rhythms of Los Angeles. They feature the EVI (electronic valve instrument) heavily. As founders of TriTone Asylum, Philip Topping and Peter Sepsis had envisioned the group to be an expanding collective of talented musicians.

Peter Sepsis and Phil Topping

Originally conceived in 2009 as a trio with EVI, keyboards and bass, TriTone Asylum quickly expanded into a sextet with drums, guitar and saxophone. Now, with over a dozen talented musicians, Tritone Asylum has truly evolved and can provide the right sound for any event, mood or venue. As founders of TriTone Asylum, Philip Topping and Peter Sepsis had envisioned the group to be an expanding collective of talented musicians.
