Show Me The Pie Tracks

1. Tequila Tobacca And Beer (First Single Release) 3:41

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN) Jan Buckingham(Duckhouse Music/ BMI)

First song I wrote with Jan Buckingham! Written in 2013.

2. The Economy Of Love 3:18

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN)/Max Arthur Hutchinson(Max Hutchinson/SOCAN)

I was listening to a jewelry store ad on the radio for engagement rings and thought how falling in love is good for the economy.

Falling out of love is also good for the economy or just staying in love for many years is too. No matter what kind of love, it is good for the economy.

The song is from the prospective of the economy.

"Just unload man, just unload" is what a panhandler guy said to Max after he asked him for some spare change.

3. The Last Word 3:05

Songwriters: Jan Buckingham(Duckhouse Music BMI) Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN) Max Arthur Hutchinson(Max Hutchinson/SOCAN)

We wrote this with Jan Buckingham in May 2017. She was on a roll that day, this was the third song during that writing session! This song is all Jan...her title and idea! She is a brilliant songwriter! Howie put a Rolling Stone twist on the music so it really rocks! We get a great response when we play it live and it's an audience participation song...even better!

We think it would make an ideal bachelorette party theme song. It also goes over well in the gay community.

4. A Redneck In Drag 2:58

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/Socan), Jan Bidewell Buckingham(Duck House Music/BMI)

An earlier song I wrote with Jan. She can write a song with any title thrown at her. She is really a great writer and teacher!! I have learned so much from her. Thank you Jan for another fun song! We love this one!! Cheers!

5.Pills And Prayers 3:16
Featuring Bob Nobles

Songwriters: Annette Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN), Max Hutchinson(Max Hutchinson/SOCAN), Peter Garfinkel(Hillbilly Gold/ASCAP)

We decided to make this one a stripped down guitar/vocal duet. It is old school country and has a gospel element. Bob Nobles on lead and harmony.

As we age we just can't party like we used to and find other ways to get us through. Some of us need medication for conditions we have developed. Of course there is a lot of uplifting in prayer and believing. The character in the song does just that.

6.Walmart Heart 2:37

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN), Max Arthur Hutchinson(Max Hutchinson/SOCAN), Howard Murray Moscovitch(Howie Moscovitch/SOCAN), Robert Nobles(Kaskin Publishing/BMI)

A little shuffle we all wrote together. Short and sweet and has a nice swing to it.

7.What's Wrong With A Drinkin' Song **Featured Song** 3:00

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN), Dale Allen Pommer(Little Tin God Music/ASCAP)

Fun honky tonk song you can dance to.

When you just want to hear a sad country song to drown your misery or something rowdy when you wanna throw down and there ain't none! We put a little Merle in the bridge.

8.Elvis, Chocolate And Cigarettes 3:26

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN)

This song was written a long time ago and then re-written a few times over the years. It has been produced different ways from country to dance! It is a song that plays well and goes over well live.

It's a woman's type of breakup song! It has humor, detail and irony and shoes! LOL

9.Drunk In Mexico 2:37

Songwriters: Howard Murray Moscovitch(Howie Moscovitch/SOCAN), Max Arthur Hutchinson(Max Hutchinson/SOCAN), Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN), Jan Bidewell Buckingham(Duck House Music/BMI)

This is basically about when tourists are on vacation and let loose. We see a lot of that in downtown Nashville.

Jan based it on a breakup which makes it way more interesting. Howie plays great Flamenco guitar and Joe added the accordion which is exactly what it needed for an authentic sound.

When we play it at shows we have tiny straw sombreros we get people to wear and they like to dance to it. It is a great song to play live. It's a party song!Perfect for Cinco de Mayo - we like to call it Cinco de PieHole!

10. Pistol Packin' Trannie (Transvestite) 2:54

Songwriters: Annette Marie Barkley(Annette Barkley Music/SOCAN), Jan Bidewell Buckingham(Duckhouse Music/BMI), Scott Barrier(Scott Barrier Music/BMI)

I believe Scott had the title and Jan ran with it. It's a mother trucker story song with a twist. The trannie (that's transvestite by the way) is the hero.

Jan can think of an entire story in no time at all. She is very creative.
