About the EP "Shine"
Shine is a collection of songs about love and relationships. From the humor of "Hillbilly Blond" and "Can't Believe My Luck" to the moody "Those Baby Blues," the theme of these stories remains the same. This collection of songs is Americana Folk storytelling at it's best filled with humor, warmth and sister harmony. "That Room" tells the story of an unconventional childhood that seems to have universal appeal and the title song "Shine" completes the theme beautifully.

About The Keller Sisters
Sheryl and Kerry grew up in San Francisco and began singing together in Glee Clubs, Choir and Musical Theater. Daughters of a touring musical theater performer, summers were spent on the road learning from the best and created their love of performing.

In their teens they discovered guitars and folk music and started performing as a duo. Stopping for a while to raise families they re-entered the local music scene playing with a rock and blues band in the San Francisco area playing local festivals and clubs. While they enjoy the rock world, they missed the stripped down acoustic sound they had in their youth and in 2012 the sisters decided to play as a duo again but this time they had original songs to perform. Storytelling filled with warmth, humor and sister harmony their music has been described as American Folk Pop.

2012 ended up as an amazing year for the sisters. In April they had their first show doing original songs and were invited to play the San Francisco Free Folk Festival which led to other festivals and venues. A "best song" win from West Coast Songwriters and "favorite of the weekend" pick by a Nashville publisher at the West Coast Songwriter conference in September helped make the decision to keep the stripped down configuration going.

In December they released their first EP of original songs and will be touring in 2013.

Review of "Shine" by Stacey Zeiring,No Depression Magazine - The Americana Roots Authority ...

The honey-warm harmonies and slice-of-life charm of the Keller Sisters’ debut EP Shine recalls the days of summers past. Maybe it’s the sweetness of the vocals or the nostalgic yearning of songs such as “That Room,” but there is an undeniably sunny vibe that is being emitted here. Certainly, the music itself offers the coziness of a campfire – smoothly textured acoustic riffs and bluesy harmonica.

Siblings Sheryl and Kerry have produced a heartfelt collection of folk music, one that also reveals the influence of the Beatles and classic country music. The opening track, the witty “Hillbilly Blond,” struts with Bonnie Raitt-styled swagger and trailer-park spunk. The song’s locomotive beat and blistering harmonica add to the smoke left in its path. “Can’t Believe My Luck” veers toward the Keller Sisters’ Americana side, back-to-basics country without the Nashville cheese or indie artiness.

The highlight of the EP is the aforementioned “That Room.” Brimming with sentimental recollections, its lyrics return to the Keller Sisters to the days of their youth, when listening to records as kids conveyed a more innocent world. Of course, there’s more to the tune than that but revealing all of its touching moments would rob the listener of their own conclusions. It’s still early, but “That Room” just might be one of the year’s best, and this refreshingly straightforward and emotionally uplifting EP should be included in that as well.
