The Battlers Country music group is a Family Group who are your typical Australian country blokes. The boys were both brought up on country music, not only did they grow up together, they were and still best mates beside the fact that they are cousins. This group still are very family orientated with both of the boys fathers playing a big part in the behind the scenes and their daughter following in the fathers foot steps making a name for themselves in the country music industry. Shaun and Michael’s mothers have both battled breast cancer along with Shaun’s sister who is still under going treatment which lead the boys to do there bit for the national breast cancer association by giving ten percent of their CDs and merchandise sale going straight to breast cancer. The Battlers also do a large number of charity concerts for Breast Cancer, Bushfire victims, canassist, Children’s hospital in Wagga Wagga N.S.W and local fundraisers.



Shaun Minnick and Michael Verde are The Battlers. Born in Sydney and raised in Bimbi NSW the boys (first cousins) grew up in a large family. Their Parents were huge fans of country Music and their passion for country music was passed down to the boys.



The Battlers are now multi A.C.R.A award winners. Having won their third award in three years at the recent Tamworth on Parade Benefit in Wagga Wagga.



Michael and Shaun also have a radio show on 2yyy radio and whether it be on the radio or performing live to a large crowd their love of music and singing is obvious to all who listen.

The Battlers have just returned from their second trip to the Tamworth Country Music Festival where they were welcomed with open arms. Known to a few of the tamworth locals as Legends, The Battlers performances drew large crowds to both the Busking arena and to the stage. The Battlers are also known for performing acapella, a feat not attempted by many artists.



Singing is their passion and they have a great love of entertaining. The extraordinary talent they have shines through in their very original and entertaining performances, and the dedication they show will ensure that The Battlers are here to stay.
