Biography
So, why Second Coming?

A few years ago (well, to be frank, QUITE a few years ago) Syd was a member of a rising young band out of Philadelphia called 'Forest Green'. Packed concerts and a considerable buzz led to a record deal with Capitol Records, and things looked to be on the move. However, for many reasons, (some of which are now MUCH more apparent), the album was no
t a success, and the band which sounded SO impressive live turned out to be less impressive sounding on a disc…The usual things then happened and time moved on.

Through the years Syd did all sorts of things to keep on keeping on, but in the mix was always the music. Songs kept getting written and tapes (remember those?) kept getting made.

Then an amazing thing happened - technology / computers!!

Syd started working in this more personal medium and a first album soon emerged, "No Rules, Not One", which was as much a chance to figure out how to use the new tools as anything. Then two years of silence….Seems like a long time to record a handful of songs, right? But life has a way of filling up the moments, and free spaces to record were challenging to find. But found they were, and now here we are in the present.

There was a lot to learn, not about how to play but about how to record. Syd didn't want a repeat of the Forest Green experience; he wanted to be sure that the new album represented him at his best. The music he could hear inside his head deserved the care, and he was determined to provide it.

So here we are with Syd's 'Second Coming'. Two powerful songs from the first album that belonged with the others thematically and stylistically and could benefit from the newer tools acquired since and the knowledge gained in the interim. Ten new songs, some written many years back, some composed in the studio, each one unique, rich and complex.

Syd thinks it is the best work of his life. And it's a blast to listen to.

Seconds, anyone?

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
