Biography
Sugar Creek Bluegrass is an energetic young band from central Ohio made up of brothers and sisters. The band took their name from their ancestors’ old homestead which was located on the beautiful stream called Sugar Creek in West Virginia. The band strives to preserve bluegrass music for many generations and plays traditional, old-time, and gospel music inspired by legends like Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley and Earl Scruggs. In 2015, Sugar Creek will be performing at festivals with Daily & Vincent, Joe Mullins, Dale Ann Bradley, Junior Sisk, Rhonda Vincent, and some of the biggest names in bluegrass. Sugar Creek has released three albums so far: "Sugar Creek Bluegrass", "Sourwood Mountain" and their newest release, "Appalachian Summer". The band members include Emily on five-string banjo, Cody on fiddle & tenor banjo, Zac on mandolin, Molly on bass, Matt on guitar, and Ben on washboard.
