Biography

Founded at the end of 2008 by Taras Terletsky and Vitaliy Lityagin like an alternative project “against” the pop-rock band “YakaisnuE” (“WhichexistS”) that was founded by the same people six years before. In a few month, the band finds it’s new guitar player and a main ideologist – Pavlo Ilnytskyy and starts to record it’s first songs. Then, the necessity of being a true rock-band, made the guys find a new drummer and a bass-guitar player. Since the winter of 2009, Sample Rate started rehearsing
The new recorded material (quite different from the band’s previous music genre) was written in English, mostly using an ecology thematics. This was the main reason to change the band’s name to the English one. Whole 2009, the musicians called their’s band as a some kind of a new “project”, however, the answer to the question: how to name the band as always comes from nowhere… Taras Terletsky: “It was a late evening when we ended to record one of our songs and started to manage the names. Suddenly, the light in the studio blinks and the electirisity switches off. A few secods before that happened, I asked God for helping me to choose the name and started to laugh… After that, the guys asked me to look at the monitor and there was an answer. I looked at the computer screen and saw the system message, that begins with the words that now are our official name... “Sample Rate” continued it’s work and at the end of 2009 practices on the stage for the first time. By then, the band already had it’s official web-site (www.samplerate.org) and other well known wep-pages like MySpace, Ilike and others. In may of 2010, american music company “iUA music” publishes the first band’s album “The Breath” online. This album was presented live in a few biggest clubs in Lviv (Ukraine)... The music of “Sample Rate” is needed; in fact “Sample Rate” inlays it by its soul. We have passed the heaviest part of our way already, and ahead is a path, we all want to take...
