Biography
R.X."Bob"Bertoldi began writing songs relatively late (in his mid-30s), and as it turns out, that's not such a bad thing. He'd traveled and lived overseas, made plenty of mistakes, met many people and heard many stories (in English and Italian). In short, he had some things to write about.
His reflective songs regularly center on relationships, family, love, illness, social injustice (racism and wrongful incarceration), death and more. Though he has no formal training in music, Bertoldi has a keen ear for music and language. He puts both to good use in his successful covers of some roots rock classics and in his compelling originals.
Bertoldi's tunes have proven radio worthy, with two of his recordings garnering a few spins weekly on the national satellite radio program "The Coffeehouse" on SiriusXM for over 4 years running. His most recent LP release "Tracks in Perspective" (2019) was on the AMA Radio Chart for several months, with 11 of its 12 originals having received spins. His music and lyrics resonate with listeners, whether heard live or on the radio.
