Biography

My name is Richard Lopez aka Richie Rich; I was born on Nov.19, 1985 in Dallas Texas. I have had an interest in music since a young age.  Around the age of 5, I was influenced by the latin sounds of “A Lighter Shade of Brown” and “Selena”. When I was 16 I really started getting into rapping. I would listen to Snoop Dog, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and a lot of Latin Hip Hop. I went to school for audio engineering and music Cedar Valley College. I create music not just rap, from making beats, mixing, writing lyrics, producing artists, and engineering. I don’t see myself just as a rapper but as an entertainer. I will continue to strive for success and live my life by the saying “If you believe it you can achieve it”. Around that time I started a group called Lone Star Click that consisted of “Kaos 2”,” BIGG JON”, and me. We progressed on our style and made our first CD. We have also had radio play, interviews with KNON 89.3, Latin life magazine, and numerous shows all around the Dallas area. We are still friends but everyone has gone their separate ways to pursue their individual dreams. My next major group started with a long time friend. He told me about a Salsa group called “La Doz Katorze” and asked if I was interested. My first reaction was no, I don’t think that’s for me. After I thought about it, I opened my mind and reconsidered the possibilities. Now we are a group to be reckoned with in the Dallas and Ft. Worth area. We started mixing Salsa and Merengue music with an urban twist with me as the rapper of the group. We have performed numerous shows including venues like “House of Blues” and “Mambo Café” and are in the process of making our first album. My future goals are to be; one of the best entertainers out of dallas, have my own studio/business. success, health, wealth, and prosperity.Be able to provide for my family for years to come,to inspire a future generation that anything is possible if you strive for it.
