Biography
Pugwash, Nova Scotia, Canada is home. At the age of 14 I was introduced to this thing called "Country Music" & to the music of Hank Williams Sr. I performed in several groups over the years as a Country Vocalist. I have performed in every type of venue, from stage concerts, church's, weddings, funerals, coffee houses, & on television.
Over the years I have amassed a large collection of recordings & memorabilia on Hank Williams Sr. For the past 8 years I appeared on Fred Isenor's very popular TV program in Nova Scotia. I've also been a featured artist with the Atlantic Canada Steel Guitar Club's yearly fund raiser. In 2010 & 11 I opened two stage concerts for Grand Old Opry legend George Hamilton IVth. I've also appeared twice at his concerts as a surprise guest. I was asked to join George on a tour beginning in Atlantic Canada with stops at the Carter Family Fold in Virginia, Dollywood & then on to Nashville. In 2012 I was invited to Iowa, USA & was inducted into America's Old Time Country Music Hall Of Fame, in Anita, Iowa. A very humbling experience & great honor. I shared the stage with Lynn Anderson, John Rex Reeves(Jim Reeve's Nephew) & 3 time Grammy winner Terry Smith.
I host "The Gospel Trail" over CFTA 107.9 FM radio out of Amherst, Nova Scotia. The Gospel Trail has been picked up by VOTL radio in Kentucky. I also host a 2 hour tribute to Hank Williams every Jan 1st over radio. I've had articles about Hank Williams published in the Hank Williams Fan Club Newsletter from Georgiana & with The International Traditional Country Music Fan Club from Watagua, Tennessee. Being involved with radio also allows me the opportunity to promote local Atlantic Canada talent.
My latest CD#18 "Please Remember That I Love You" was a joint effort with the very talented George Longard. I perform classic country, traditional bluegrass & Gospel music. The music is wonderful but I believe the people who we meet & those that touch our lives along the way is what its all about.
Testimony by Fred Isenor. Fred is a member of the Nova Scotia Country Music Fall of Fame in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. He is a bluegrass & classic country music historian.
Testimony by Fred Isenor:
I have know Peter For over 30 years & he is one of the finest entertainers in Nova Scotia. He has several CD's on the market & my favorites are those on which Peter played all the instruments including, guitar, bass guitar, steel guitar, mandolin & dobro guitar. He is always a popular entertainer at Jamborees, Television, at church coffee houses & gospel concerts. Peter is a great Hank Williams fan & has amassed an interesting collection. He also has a nice collection of cowboy guitars mostly made by Harmony & his favorite is the Lone Ranger guitar. Each New years he does a Hank Williams special over CFTA radio in Amherst, N.S. It is also heard on other radio stations. Peter is a member of the Atlantic Steel Guitar Society & appears at their annual concerts each year. Peter is also a member of America's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in Iowa, USA
