ANYA HINKLE
"I'M GONNA BE THE SEED"
AAA / Folk Rock

Anya Hinkle honors the legacy of Sinéad O’Connor with the powerful new single I'm Gonna Be the Seed. Produced by Kevin Moloney (who produced O’Connor’s debut The Lion and the Cobra) and featuring John Doyle, the track merges Dublin’s punk spirit with traditional Irish roots.
Andy Zicklin, founder and CEO of Label 51 Recordings, says, “Since we've been aware of Anya Hinkle, working with her has been a priority. When she came to us with her new single referencing Sinéad O'Connor and the topicality of current events, putting out Anya's song and upcoming album is something we are very excited to be able to do. She's a treasure.”
The song serves as a tribute to O’Connor’s bravery and a reminder to "speak truth to power." Combining raw electric guitars with deep emotional weight, I'm Gonna Be the Seed captures the urgency and spirit of an icon who gave a voice to the voiceless.

WEDNESDAY WEEK
"SOUVENIRS"
Rock / Alternative

The Los Angeles-based band returns with their original foursome: sisters Kristi and Kelly Callan (vocals, guitar, and drums), Heidi Rodewald (bass), and David Nolte (lead guitar). Produced by Don Dixon—who also helmed their 1987 album What We Had.
"Originally signed to Enigma Records, which was co-founded by Bill Hein, a co-founder of Label 51, we've come full circle in bringing this Wednesday Week EP to life," says Andy Zicklin, Co-Founder and CEO - Label 51 Recordings. "They are one of the great girl bands of the early 80's and a great addition to our label."
Originally recorded in March 2020, the project's release was pushed back by the pandemic. Souvenirs showcases the band taking on influential sounds from The Zeros, Sandie Shaw, Color Me Gone, and Dolly Mixture.
