Artist and songwriter John Batdorf is pleased to announce the release of four final singles — “In The Middle Of It All,” “Unfamiliar,” “Puppy Love 2.0,” and “Maybe Tomorrow” — completing his latest 11-song album, Singles.

Rather than recording an entire album and releasing it all at once, Batdorf took a spontaneous and organic approach to the project, writing, recording, and releasing each song as it was completed. What began nearly a year ago with a single songwriting idea unexpectedly evolved into an 11-song collection.

The resulting album, Singles, captures Batdorf’s observations, emotions, and perspective on the world around him. The four final releases arrived in a creative flurry and complete a collection that was intentionally created and shared in real time.

“Did I mention how much I love writing songs? Well, it must be true because I just keep writing,” says Batdorf. “I started this latest batch of songs 11 months ago when, completely out of the blue, an idea hit me and the creative juices started flowing. After about a week of tinkering, my co-writer and I finished 'Suffering.' The song was so relevant to the day that I decided to record it and release it as a single. I had no intention of writing more songs, but it was too late — the journey had begun.”

“All 11 songs reflect the current world we live in,” says Batdorf. “Waiting to release them would have lessened the impact of lyrics that needed to be current and fresh while we were all living them in real time."
