Biography
Using music to get through the rough periods in my life, I share with you, the listener -my latest works.
I must have been about a year old when my parents put a little squeeze box in my hands. One chord would sound when you opened the bellows ... and another when they closed. It probably drove my sisters insane hearing their little brother play with this noisy toy.
Later when I was about 7, I wanted to get into music - my folks sent me to the Ontario Conservatory of Music (in the Downsview area of Toronto) where I burned through books and books of music - I was quite hungry back then. Spent hours practicing a day - and went through 3 teachers in less than 2 years. My maestro, Neal Puplin honed my chops to another level. He brought a professionalism to the music.
After, when I realized I wanted to move onto other instruments, I had to say goodbye to my favourite teacher. That's when I picked up the bass guitar, bought this unknown album called 'Moving Pictures' and learned it. I borrowed an electric keyboard from a buddy of mine ... and started to teach myself piano ... but more importantly, started to compose music.
"Reflections" {released 2008} marked the 25th anniversary that I started writing music.
"RESONANCE" (released July 7,2011) is my best work to date.
Stay tuned ...
