Biography
Vladrumetz is a male solo artist from the Southern part of Germany. He describes himself as being an avid singer and songwriter at the same time. However, for many years he had mainly concentrated on producing cover versions of his favourite band Depeche Mode. To the surprise of many listeners in late 2014 he then came out with an own album called ‘Auf Draht’ containing 13 songs heavily dominated by using a bunch of electronic instruments. The whole debut album was written in his German mother tongue. Afterwards he decided to record an English album and so he did. In November 2015 he presented his new work titled ‘Slow Awakening’.
“If you would ask one of the band members from Depeche regarding his opinion on the band’s latest album release, then you will certainly get the answer that their brand-new work marks the best achievement in their whole career. Unfortunately they regularly have to tell this story in order to boost the upcoming sales revenue. In the case of my comparatively negligible album release SLOW AWAKENING I can assure that I mean it serious when I say that my last record is much better than my first one and I also know the reasons for that. As a hobby musician who does not occupy himself in daily intervals from morning to evening with music production, I’m still on a huge learning curve. And the mistakes that I made during my debut album did not occur again while producing my second one. Music production in itself is some kind of philosophy. Professional musicians do always talk about the right gear to use when it comes to recording, about the mixing plugins and special effects, about the state-of-the-art mastering tools and processes and so on. To be honest, I don’t care that much about those issues, because as an amateur I’m given the luxury not having to sound perfectly. The major focus that I have is in writing songs which reflect my mood and the change of emotions in some way. And when a listener can sympathize with the emotional contents of my songs then I’m very pleased.” (Vladrumetz)
