Biography
Tara Linhardt is a multi-instrumentalist, but her main instrument is mandolin. Her musical base is bluegrass, but she also plays and has played Celtic, Swing jazz, and some music from around the world. She went to college in Wisconsin and spent two years abroad-- in Nepal for one year and Thailand for one year, which started her interest in World music. She is a founding member of The Mountain Music Project (www.mountainmusicproject.com) and continues expanding her musical horizons with traditional musics as well as writing her own tunes and songs and teaching and performing music.
She can be seen playing with a variety of people over the years. Here are just a few clips.
