Biography
Spaceship Days is the ongoing musical collaboration of Greg Torsone, Chuck Cox and Matt Mocharnuk, formerly of the band grey. Formed in 1993, grey released their first full length CD, "So Called Friend", in 1995. The band progressed quickly after that, expanding both their creativity and their following. After several lineup changes the band hit their musical stride with the addition of Dan Rothenberg on drums. In 1997 grey released the band’s second album, a 6 song EP called “Searching for Static”. By 1999 grey had released their third album “Slow Motion Plane Crash” on Delusion Records. The band celebrated regional success, becoming a staple of NC college radio, playing shows in Austin TX during the South by Southwest Music Festival, and performing several opening gigs with some of the biggest national acts of the era. Unfortunately, as it often does, Life happened and in 2000 the band members went their
separate ways.

Quantcast Matt and Greg went on to form The Sleepwalkers, and began recording new material. A project that was fueled by an ever expanding sphere of musical influences, it pushed the boundaries of creativity far beyond the limits of anything that grey had recorded. Chuck fell into playing with the wildly successful Winston Salem NC based band Fleshgear, and Blue Light Karma. In 2002 a local producer and a financier heard a copy of "A Slow Motion Plane Crash", and contacted the splintered band about reforming for a national tour to support the album. Within a few days grey was back in the studio, rehearsing with a new drummer and keyboardist. Six months later, with a tour bus full of new equipment waiting, and a management team in place, the group failed to agree on contract terms and the project crashed. Midsummer of 2009, Greg, Chuck, and Matt reunited as Spaceship Days to continue their musical adventure, and recorded a collection of new material entitled, “The Halo Effect”.
