Biography
RUSTY EVANS is an original Rockabilly who recorded for Brunswick at the same period as BUDDY HOLLY. His 1958 recording of LEDBELLY'S "MIDNIGHT SPECIAL" was perhaps the first "Folk Rock" recording ever made. His love for Country music was inspired by a meeting with JOHNNY CASH. He went on to jam with BOB DYLAN in the cafe's of Greenwich Village. DYLAN told RUSTY he sounded like CASH and advised him to "keep it country." Being a creative adventurer Rusty went on to sing with the New Christy Minstrels and in the late 1960's wrote and produced many of the San Francisco Rock bands such as "It's A Beautiful Day."
He recorded many singles and albums and went on to a very successful visual art career, check out UZILEVSKYART.COM
RUSTY EVANS has come back to his Country Music roots and recorded his cover versions of early CASH material and some of his own on this CD, RUSTY EVANS & RING OF FIRE.
Rusty has performed all over the World with the WHP Tours.
