Biography
Ray Sanders had 14 charted Billboard songs including 4 top 20 records. He got his start in the music business working for Ray Price. He sang harmony with price on "Heartaches By The Number""Under Your Spell Again" One More Time" and "Who'll Be The First" In 1959 he signed with Liberty Records. He had his first hit song "A World So Full Of Love" which peaked at #18 in 1960. Then he followed it's success up with Lonelyville that reached #20. In 1968 he won the ACM Most Promising New Male Artist Award. In 1969 he scored another top 20 hit with "Beer Drinking Music" In 1971 "All I Ever Need Is You" peaked at #18 and won Sanders an ASCAP award. Also in 1971, he joined the popular TV Show Hee Haw where he was part of the cast until 1973. Sanders is still active in the music business today.
