Biography
Paul Metsa is a legendary Minneapolis songwriter. He has won 7 MN Music Awards, most recently the Americana Artist of the Year in 2005. He was a featured performer at Farm Aid V at the request of Willie Nelson, and a featured performer at the Tribute to Woody Guthrie at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the request of Nora Guthrie. He was also a featured performer at the Million Mom March in Washington, DC in 1999. He has been produced by Bucky Baxter (Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams), Clive Gregson (Richard Thompson) and T Lavitz (Dixie Dregs.) CMJ Magazine called him "one of the most poetic protest songwriters of our time." National Public Radio called him "America's answer to Billy Bragg." And the Utne Reader called him "Bruce Springsteen with a Midwestern twang."
