Biography
Paul Johnson was born in Nashville, TN. He started playing guitar at the age of seven and became more serious about his music at age 16. Paul discovered songwriting and started writing music and songs at 18 years of age. By the time he was 24 he signed with JMV Music Publishing as a staff writer. He wrote for JMV under contract for 5 years. Paul took a break from writing music for a year or two and explored other music endeavors. He found a new love for the Blues after many years of writing Country. The Blues seemed to be special to Paul and somehow felt right. He absorbed everything he could musically from the Blues and started writing his own songs and recorded his first one when he was twenty-six. After Paul started writing again, he decided to put together an album's worth of material. The result of this project is “Hard Working Blues” just released on the D and M Records Label. Paul’s hope is to bring some new songs and new music to the world of blues.
“Paul’s unique ability to blend melody and chords along with vocals into a distinct sound is sure to set the blues world on fire.” Dave Warren, Senior Producer, D and M Records.

Within five weeks of the release of Paul Johnson’s debut album, “I Can’t Wait” had climbed to number 1 on the Cashbox Pop Charts.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
