Biography
Panayotis Terzakis, a versatile vocalist and performer, is known for his ability to perform different styles of music with the appropriate approach and style.
His new EP album under the title "Free" is an Avant-Americana fusion album that combines folk, rock, rhythm and blues and country elements proudly presented by Panayotis and a small group of select musicians.
Terzakis established his inner artistic voice & genuine sound by including in his repertoire non-classical songs (he was trained as classical singer) such as Jazz standards, Chansons, Folk & rock Ballads and Afro-American Spirituals, as an interpreter who respects the roots of each song and who transubstantiates his life experience into music; songs that he grew up with.

He has performed in Greek, English, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Czech, and Japanese in Europe, US and China with much success in theatrical and musical productions with an emphasis in his Solo alternative projects.

Known for his love and respect for the music of his homeland he has given recitals with great success such as “My Hellenic Soul” (US-2004), and “Immortality- Greek Songs with the poetry of Nikos Gatsos” which was hosted by the American Repertory Theater.(A.R.T.-Zero Arrow-, Boston – 2006). Among others has also participated in projects such as "The Echo of The Living Myth" in Shanghai, China (2010) including music by Greek composers whose works are not well known outside of Greece. His first album "Far Away Land- songs from Greece" (PT9969- September 01, 2009) was a result of these appearances. The album includes Greek Folk songs in a modern, new age approach and got critical acclaim both in the US and Europe.

Besides the Greek repertoire, appearances in the US include recitals and productions of Gospel & Spirituals, Art Songs, Opera & Classical Repertoire in venues such as The Jarvis Theater in Napa, CA; the Sol Fest Opera in Key West, FL, 2004 & 2007; The Pickman Hall in Boston; T. Eliot Library (Harvard University); M.I.T. Chapel; Brandeis University; Boston King's Chapel; The Hellenic Cultural Center of Watertown, MA; The Center For The Arts in Natick, MA; The Amazing Arts Center in Framingham, the Massachusetts State House, the Zero Arrow Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA, The Lowell Historical Park, The Lowell University and elsewhere.
Meanwhile, in the past five years he has presented in Greece several projects with Gospel& Spirituals and songs from the greater American Songbook (Jazz, Folk & Rock); to mention some: "Across The Water", "Hymns and Spirituals", "Some Enchanted Evening", "It's Me O Lord", "American Stories", "My Black Swallow" have had a big success and have brought a strong taste of America in Panayotis' homeland.
