At just 19 years old, there are few musical artists in the world that have the sheer vocal power and dynamic performance energy of MEGG. A highly prolific songwriter, MEGG, whose full name is Meghan Mahowald, draws from her unique personal journey and Southern California upbringing to fuel her music. MEGG’s ability to connect with her fans through her lyrics, vocals, and artistry make her one to follow.

MEGG released her EP titled “The EP” on October 31, 2010, which is available exclusively on iTunes. “The EP” is a mixture of pop, rock and punk, with loud guitars, memorable hooks, and mind-blowing vocal ranges. MEGG released her debut music video for the EP’s first single “Break Up With Her” on December 1, 2010, the song was also made available as a free download on her website http://meggmusic.com.

MEGG’s artistic reach is as broad as her experience in the creative world. A singing prodigy who trained at the coveted Los Angeles High School for the Arts, as well as the Popular Music Program at USC’s Thornton School of Music, MEGG’s ambitious and seasoned abilities are not by chance. She also finds inspiration from her charity work, and is the Vice President of the b.i.y.a.y.c.d.a. Foundation (believe in yourself and you can do anything).

MEGG is currently hard at work recording her next EP, a hard hitting, in-your-face collection of her loud opinions and evolving personal experiences.

“This EP is very different from the first recordings, in the sense that when I moved out, I was forced to grow up a little. I started creating my own opinions about my past, my present and ultimately trying to figure out who I am, not only as an artist but as a teenager in society. These songs are so vulnerable and I’m stoked to share them with everyone,” says MEGG. The new EP titled MEGG is set to debut in Spring 2011.

Prior to “The EP,” MEGG led the pop group Runway MMC from 2006 to 2008. Runway MMC’s rise was an eye-opening experience that took her around the country – writing, performing, and recording. Simultaneously, she launched the highly sought after Runway MMC clothing line. Sold throughout the country from 200 Wet Seal Stores to the trendsetting boutique The Closet.
