“Sounds Like Heaven To Me” is the first Bluegrass Gospel album for Lou Reid & Carolina; this is the project that Lou has been lead to record for many years based on his enduring Faith.

“I hope that my style of faith-based music is inspiring to people, as I have tried to combine music with a positive message. Our time on earth is so short and the longer I live the more sure I am of God’s plan. If I can touch one heart with this record, I will deem it a success,” states Lou Reid.

“God’s Front Porch” is the first single from “Sounds Like Heaven To Me” which also contains the beautiful a capella song “It’s So Hard To Stumble (When You’re Down on Your Knees)” co-written by Reid. This garnered a nomination for the 2009 IBMA ‘Gospel Song Of The Year’ and nominated for the 2010 GMA Dove Awards ‘Bluegrass Gospel Song Of The Year’.

LOU REID is acclaimed as one of the most recognizable voices in bluegrass music today largely due to his vocal contributions with such major country & bluegrass artists like Ricky Skaggs, Doyle Lawson, Seldom Scene and Longview. Reid is also one of the hottest touring talents dividing his time throughout the year between headlining Seldom Scene, Lou Reid & Carolina and bluegrass superstar group Longview. This first Bluegrass Gospel release has been long awaited by his fans, the bluegrass and country communitiess and will be warmly welcomed in the Southern Gospel music market as well!

Sam Passamano, Jr. (August -2010)

I would like to thank God for the gift of music and the many blessings that come with that gift. Thank you to my families — the Sharps, Joyners, and Colsons of Florida. You are central to who I am and who I’ve always been. I love and miss all of you so much! Thank you to my adopted families in Alabama — the Sanders and Carrolls. Thanks for all the encouragement you continually provide to Heather and I. Thanks to Lou, Christy, and Trevor — Traveling up and down the road and making great music is what drives my soul. Thank you for the opportunity to do so. MAN!!! Thanks Wes “Guru” Easter for all your hard work. Thanks to all of my friends / classmates from Florida. Thanks for coming to see our shows when we’re in the area. I hold so many fond memories of you and always will. Thank you to all of my friends and the musicians in the North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia areas. You all made me feel like family 20 years ago when I moved to the area and you are the best friends anyone could ever have. You have been such a blessing! Thanks to the faculty, staff, and football coaching staff of St. Stephens High School. Once again, thanks for letting me chase a gig or two. Thank you to the staff of Odenville Intermediate School for embracing me with open arms and understanding my “side job”. Constance, Nona, and all of the girls — thanks a lot!! Thanks to Billy Gee, Steve Reeves, and Dave Musselwhite for keeping my old and new axes in tip top shape. I want to dedicate my part of this record to Papa, Nanny, Uncle Bill, Uncle Grady, Uncle E.S. “Bud”, Aunt Helen, Granny Scott, and Grandma Alene. Their music flows through my veins and their words still speak to me from days gone by. I love them and miss them all.

Trevor Watson

It is very difficult to be away from you guys while I am on the road and I am grateful for your continuing support. I also thank Mom and Dad for passing the gift of music on to me – it has been integral to my soul for as long as I can remember. To Grandma, Linda, Bobby, Julie, Amber, Michelle, Extended Family, In-Laws and Friends – you have all been instrumental to me as mentors and inspiration. To Lou, Christy, Shannon, Wes, Ron, and Rural Rhythm – luv you all – mean it! Most of all, thanks to My Lord for everything.
