Biography
Louise D’Arcy is an up and coming singer/songwriter from Brisbane, Australia. Picking up her first guitar at age 20 and finding inspiration through such artists as Jewel, Louise developed a love of clever lyric writing and music in its rawest form.

Long Road is Louise’s first self written, 5 song EP which combines her love of folk music with catchy rhythmic hooks reminiscent of 80s Pop, never straying far however from her first passion being smart yet highly emotional and heartfelt lyrics.

Louise has gained attention and expanded her presence through such pursuits as appearing on Channel Nines Starstruck in 2005, posting material on youtube to a growing and loyal fanbase and receiving regular airplay on Brisbane radio station 4ZZZ(102.1fm) and as far abroad as Philadelphia on WXPN. She also plays regularly around Brisbane and the Gold Coast proving she is dedicated to growing as an artist.

Musical influences include such artists and bands as Jewel, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Sarah McLachlan, Nickel Creek, Pearl Jam, The Frames Etc. “I’m never one to close myself off to any one style of music, there’s too much you can learn from it all” Only at the beginning of her musical journey, Louise is in it for the long haul. ”I don’t know where or which direction music will take me but I’m determined to enjoy every minute of it!”
