Biography

Nichey Quartet came into existence at the end of 2008, the result of creative exchanges and friendship between four brilliant St Petersburg musicians, and rapidly made a name for itself performing at the numerous classical and jazz venues in Moscow and St Petersburg.
Nichey Quartet plays the music of Leonid (Lenny) Sendersky –
contemporary jazz with elements of rock music and free jazz.
The experienced listener will discern in this music the crisp and perfumed air of eastern bazaars and fruit gardens, European restraint and delicacy, and the wild passions of jazz and rock bordering on the edge of decency.
The musicians use modern technology to enhance and play with the sound of their standard acoustic instruments, lending new and unique tonal colours to the saxophone, guitar and double-bass.
