Biography
Larry Killip is an independent music producer/songwriter/artist residing in New Zealand. Larry specialises in eclectic pop/rock that along with Beatlesque influences tends to accentuate the positive.
A veteran of live music in New Zealand, Larry has played in many bands, from the late 60's through to the present day. In particular his band "Larry and the Ladders" had several single releases in the 80's as well as numerous television and radio appearances. Forever young, Larry Killip continues to produce his own albums, "Wild Sky" 1996, "Good To Getaway" 2004 and October 2007 "NeverGoing Back", plus "When I Was A Boy" compilation album 2009. 3 new singles just released are also available at CD Baby
In October 1999 Larry Killip reached the number one position (Pop/Rock) at Garageband.com for almost two weeks with his song “When I was A Boy”. Even earned him a mention in Fortune magazine!
“It’s Only Human Nature” another song from Larry was awarded 2nd place POP/ROCK Sth Pacific International Music Awards November 1999, Killip was also awarded “Best Male Vocalist”
In February 2008 Larry's song "I Wanna Be Free" reached No.1 on Cashbox Magazines Indie Pop Picks chart, then March 2009 "It's Only Human Nature" makes Cashbox "Indie Picks" charts.
In New Zealand Killip has produced some of New Zealand’s top advertising Jingles, www.larrykillipmusic.com His music also features in extreme sports Television programs across the globe: SpeedTV USA, Fox Sky Australia, SuperSports Sth Africa, BSkyB UK and more.
