Kris was bitten by the music bug when he was 10 years old. While attending the Church festival at his local Polish/Catholic parish, he got to see the Hamtramck band “ The Rockin’ Levi’s” perform in the Church basement. They did tunes by The Beatles, and Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, and Elvis. Legend has it, that a few of the members later went on to form The Romantics. That’s all it took. Kris started guitar lessons soon afterward, and by age 12 was playing professionally with local bands at dances and parties in the Detroit metro area. At age 13 he began teaching guitar at the local music store.
By the age of 15 Kris began playing in local nightclubs all over the East side of Detroit.
1990 found Kris introducing Karaoke to the Detroit metro area. Going from knocking on club doors and booking the first Karaoke show in Detroit, to selling and installing 5 million dollars worth of Karaoke systems in 2 and a half years.
In 1994, Kris left Karaoke behind and became established as one of the Detroit area’s more successful Engineer /Producers. Working with local band RH Factor, he produced and guided the release of their local CD, garnering radio play on 63 stations across the Midwest, and selling several thousand CD’s. He also worked with local R&B vocalist Royce, establishing radio play and notoriety for his career.
During these years, Kris was the leader of "Big Time" a 9 piece show band that featured 3 female vocalist and a horn section. They performed at Clubs and events all around the Detroit area, playing an eclectic repertoire that ranged from Bette Middler , to Hendrix tunes with horn arrangements, and originals with a Country Rock flavor.

After taking a few years off to write and record on his own, Kris is in the midst of releasing his debut CD, and preparing to start performing his Americana, Country, Rock and Blues originals. Kris has called on all of his influences and crafted an album that may be diverse, but still encompasses all the things that are Kris Daniel.
