Singer, songwriter, and producer, Kmisha-Victoria is a talented recording artist, singer and songwriter, seeking to break commercial boundaries in the Music Industry today. Her musical style, which is a mixture of soul, rock, and Caribbean-esque flavor, represents a rebellious, yet inspirational vibe that the industry both lacks and earnestly desires.
Kmisha-Victoria hails from St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She is the daughter of a Michigan born father and a Virgin Islands born mother. She claims that her multicultural roots helped to craft the artistic influence that she has developed to this day. She has been performing since she was three years old within her community, singing, dancing and acting. She won several competitions and earned the opportunity to perform abroad in places such as The Apollo Theatre in New York City, and the Ru’ian Stadium in Wenzhou, China. In 2005 she won the Miss American Virgin Islands Competition in St. Thomas and went to the Miss World Competition where she placed as a Top 15 semi-finalist and won the Miss World Talent Title out of 110 contestants competing. The 66th Legislature of the Virgin Islands adopted a resolution honoring her outstanding contributions to the Virgin Islands.
Recently, she has performed as an opening act for artists such as Gyption and Maxi Priest, as well as along side reggae sensation, Pressure Buss Pipe. She has also formed her writing team called “The Ink”- co-writers of the summer hit “My girl” by Honorebel Featuring Sean Kingston and Trina, and she has incorporated her publishing company, K-Victoria Muzik and Publishing.
Kmisha is no stranger to the stage and has a sincere love for what she does. She humbles herself to the Lord and knows that through him, she is able to showcase her talent to the world. Now she is ready to branch out and focus on showcasing her skills as a singer/songwriter and producer. She has received her Bachelor’s in Music Business Management at the Berklee College of Music and is working towards a reggae EP, a mixtape, an independent-artist documentary, and in short, all of these endeavors lead toward the promotion of her debut album, “The K-V Project” which is a well-rounded music of mixture she intends to present an authentic and soulfully rich sound.
