Biography
Judy is an award-winning recording artist, stage and television performer, producer and songwriter. As MTM Records artist and songwriter, she had several top 10 records including the #1 “Until I Met You”, garnered the “New Female Vocalist” awards by the ACM and Billboard Magazine, toured the top venues in the country including Farm Aid shows and guested on many national TV shows including The Tonight Show. Bob Dylan praised her in the liner notes of his “Biograph” LP. As Warner Music songwriter Judy won a BMI Millionaire award for co-writing “One Way Ticket”, cut by Leann Rimes.

John is a drummer from Memphis whose playing credits include classical percussionist with the Memphis symphony, live tour drummer from amphitheater to primetime TV with Tanya Tucker and Judy, and staff drummer in the recording studio for one of the world's largest jingle companies.

Now for the first time they are writing, recording and performing together as an original music Americana duo. The album is a long time coming for John and Judy, who have been immersed in the music scene for more than 40 years.

"This album is bringing us back full circle to who we have been from the beginning, making music together," says Judy. "At the same time it’s new! We’re doing things we have never done before, writing, recording and performing as a duo. I've been at the top of the Billboard charts, featured on prime-time TV and performed on some of the biggest stages in the world. This is the best music I've ever made. Creating it now with John after all our years together is profoundly fulfilling. It’s really rather miraculous."

"Here We Are" features the musicianship of some of Nashville's finest. John played drums and percussion, Mike Chapman played bass, Kerry Marx and Chris Leuzinger played guitar, Catherine Styon Marx and Judy played keys, Sam Levine played sax and flutes and Jennifer O'Brien (touring vocalist with Dolly Parton) sang background vocals.

"In my career in music, I have had perfect moments," says John. “Watching Rudolf Nureyev from the orchestra pit, playing jazz with Marvin Stamm, handing my tambourine to Sammy Davis, Jr. for ‘Mr. Bojangles’. In my opinion, the music Judy and I just created in the studio tops them all.”

The standing ovation they received from 60 Nashville industry veterans after the last song played at their exclusive pre-release listening party confirmed the album's impact on the discerning music lover's heart.
