Biography
Hard working. No other words can describe J.C aka Mr. IL as he makes his way to the top. Struggling for some kind of publicity, his will to be heard is just the beginning of his story. Five long years he has been waiting for his respect, but it seems like it just haven't came yet. He says 2008 "is my year". If thats true, he has the ability to shout all the critics up.

Born in the early 90's, J.C lived with his grandmother on the south side of Chicago. He never listened to hip-hop until later on in his life, when he moved with his mother in the south suburbs. There, with 3 brothers, he first was brought into the world of hip-hop. His older brother(Hona) mutually put J.C on rap at the age of about 10. Spitting on cassette tapes & radios, he was an awful freestyler and writer. But "hard work" soon payed off. He soon started getting the hang of the rap thing and started writing seriously. By age 12, he finally he recorded his first song with 3 verses & a chorus. He then started his first group, Da Quick. Soon after that, his drive to be an MC was just beginning.

Da Quick Entertainment - The Start

The group started when J.C was in 7th grade (Sophomore Now) when J.C just happen to think of the name of the group, Come Quick. The group started with J.C and an artist named Lil'Roy. They were planning to make an album, but Lil'Roy branched onto another group called Breakdown, which was founded by Drift. (J.C's brother, Hona) Later on, other artists found out about J.C's lyrical skills. Lil' Mario (Now Rio) joined the group. With his style of spitten lyrics, he was a great addition to the group. Then came along Manny M., Shola (African Style), and A.D.A.M. J.C then released his first solo album "Back On The Track". The group seemed like it was heading into a good direction, but then the group started having problems. Rio started beefing with Manny M., so Rio planned to put out a dis track on Manny. The track was never released. Then A.D.A.M confessed that he was no writer. He claimed that he was stealing lyrics from other artists like Ludacris. He later moved away. Then Manny M. and Rio started having complications with Shola, so Shola finally called it quits in the rap business. Next, Manny M. stayed in the group not knowing Rio was still apart of it, and Rio stayed in the group without knowing Manny M. was apart of it. J.C then took time off rap to work on his basketball career before releasing his sophomore album "I'm Back...On Da Track". MannyM.'s lyrical geniusness later went downhill during freshman year. So he was eventually cut from the group. Rio is on the reserve list (Doesn't know if he is still in the group or not).

Starting Over, And The End...We Thought!

J.C was left again with no group. Then with his cousin, Big W (GC) tried to pull another group together called Lil' Spinners which included Chipmunk(Ice). The group never had a running start. The group never lasted. Then J.C got complaints about the group name. Come Quick's named was made fun of. People were thinking negative and referring the name Come Quick to **** Quick. So J.C changed the name of the group to a record label "Da Quick Entertainment". Then J.C signed Alicia, Da Term, Van-Van, Ice, Boi Wonder, & Big W. Everything was going well until Big W had a confrontation with Alicia & nobody was making any music, so J.C ended Da Quick in Late June. J.C later released his 4th album "Divided I Am", the first album not under "Da Quick Entertainment".

The Comeback Kid...

Now revitalized, J.C plans to make his way to the top. He no longer has his eyes on staying an indie label for long. Planned to release his 5th & final album "My World" under the alias "Mr. IL(Illinois or Ignorant Lyrical)". He also decided to shine the spotlight on his new label mates, Damien & Prince Of N.Y., who both made guest appearances on J.C's new mixtape "Before The Purple Penguin Vol. 1". During these arrangements, new additions to Da Quick Ent. were C. Fresh & Eunique. He later changed the title of his 5th album to "Back On The Track Pt. 2", which got very good reviews by the fans. Albums coming soon are C. Fresh's "1991". New addition H?dden, The Gift EP, was released on Christmas day, 2008. Since then, Lyrik, Fluid aka J-Baby, & KDubb have joined Da Quick Ent.. Eunique is no longer in the group. He decided to quit making music full time. Young Passion, Young Vault, Skoolboe, & Lyonz contracts are all pending. The highly anticipated album, "Da Quick Ent. Presents: Finally", is being recorded now. Release date is between late April thru Early May..
