Biography

JASONGS is a collection of rare live recordings of original renditions, by a
self-styled creator with a rather diverse following.

The whimsical forms, written and performed by Jason Coleman, revolve like a flavor-layer of an on-stage or moving-image patter. These inventive, lyrically flowing songs vocally range from casual to character, his instrumentation traditionally centered in solo folk piano, and harmonica.

Scanning his musical sidelife, he formerly fronted the family fare Burnt Toast and the Frozen Waffles, and the eclectic brass band HI C (Hootenany Insane Cousins). Several leading characters in musical theatre. Countless movies and television. One of only two performers, and the only with harmonica, to have recreated The Blues Brothers live on-location on the actual calendar day of the fictional movie. Soundtrack for the science fiction film "Escape". California debut live at the Natural F Cafe. Created the elevator music for the cult classic and Saturn Award winning feature film "Soultaker". Behind the scenes with Daniel's Window and Gary Chapman at the Bennet House Nashville. Has appeared with Kelly Clarkson, Miri Ben Ari, The Matches, The Woods, and Modest Mouse. Has worked with Kate Micucci, The Foo Fighters, Static X, Garth Brooks, Lil Scrappy, and No Doubt with Gwen Stefani.
