Biography
While many reggae artists have arrived on American soil tracing the footsteps of Bob Marley, not many have possessed a style so uniquely all their own. While growing up in Kingston, Jamaica, JAGUWAH was graced with the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Dennis Brown and Marvin Gay, all big influences on his love of music. And of course, with Bob Marley booming through his small community of Water House, JAGUWAH possesses that strong reggae thread as well. The message of “One People, One Blood” is at the core of who he is as an artist and he infuses that with an urban dance edge that sets him on a higher level.
“Reggae historically has its roots in political suppression, but JAGUWAH expresses a rhythmic urban heart in his music that is so memorable and full of life. I find it immensely refreshing” says Abby Montgomery, owner of RadioMavens.
With catchy island beats punctuating throughout his urban dance cocktail, JAGUWAH is bringing his unique style to the Urban Hip Hop audience worldwide. No stranger to radio, JAGUWAH is a trained Broadcaster as well, but it’s his music that drove him to make the decision to move to the US ten years ago. Calling Florida his home now, JAGUWAH is planning a national tour due to begin next year and in the meantime is entertaining his fans on the regional stages in and around Ft Lauderdale. When asked “Who would you most like to open for on stage?” JAGUWAH replies, ”JayZ!” and with the way things are going, he may just get that wish.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
