Biography

It all started in 2004 when four friends under the name of Instead of Ink began performing mostly screamo music. After two years of compositions, shows, changes in membership and throwing out compositions, they released a six song EP. Shortly after that release, the band put an end to its activities. Cedric started a solo project called Far.from.close with a more acoustic sound and he swore to never participate in a band again.

Sometime during 2009, Cedric started playing music with Keven again, who had recovered his drumset; together they began composing new music. This time around, they decided to focus on sharing their creativity. With a clean slate, they reformed ignoring all etiquette and inhibitions. During the next six months, they recorded their first album baptized Far.from.close as more than six songs were borrowed from the solo project.

Instead of Ink is currently working on distributing their album, searching for a guitarist to complete the band and preparing for upcoming shows.
