Indigo, a native Washingtonian is a naturally gifted performer has been described as "easily captivating and able to capture an audience with her extraordinary talent, honest emotions and flawless delivery, a truly gifted and all around performer.”
Indigo's sound is sultry, at times sexy and most definitely versatile. Her mesmerizing style includes everyone from Ella "Fitzgerald to the Phyllis Hyman. She is a consummate storyteller, with an ability to relate to her audience.
Indigo is the recipient of Delta Sigma Theta’s 1992, Young Artist Award and was a Semi-finalist in Baltimore's 14th Annual Billie Holiday Vocal Competition in 2003. Indigo has performed throughout the Washington Metropolitan area and beyond in various venues, including the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, Carter Baron, Twins Jazz Lounge, and Manhattan’s Sugar Bar.
Indigo has graced the stage with, Peabo Bryson, Harolyn Blackwell, Arena Players, the Alvin Ailey Dancers and Miki Howard, Angela Bofil, Roy Ayers , Paul Taylor and Joyce Cooling to name a few...
After a brief hiatus, Indigo has returned to a place that she loves…. “The Stage to perform Just Can’t Wait”, her recently released single.
