Biography
Ginger Griffin is a woman of many unique talents and capabilities. A native of Richmond, Virginia who now lives in the Metropolitan Washington DC area known as the DMV, Ginger is a proud graduate of Howard University where she earned the prestigious Vocal Performance Degree as a student of opera star Carmen Balthrop.The eldest of two sisters and three brothers, Ginger always showed a proclivity for musical expression even at an early age, singing since the age of 2 (two). Growing up, her parents exposed her to the arts via the symphony, ballet, visual art shows, musical theatre, and various concerts. She learned to appreciate greatly a wide variety of musical genres from classical to rock to country, even alternative music. It wasn't until she was 10 that she began to take formal piano lessons. At the age of 13, Ginger decided to continue experimenting with the piano and the keyboard and she, in essence, continues to teach herself. She enjoys creating as a creative being.
