Biography
Fritz Myers is a composer and songwriter living in New York City. He studied composition at Carnegie Mellon before moving to Los Angeles where he worked as a mixer. He played in various bands but never found a creative home, and instead focused on writing music for short films. After this extended break, he began writing what would become his first solo EP, but resisted recording. Finally, he moved into a house with a rented piano and started tracking, finishing after his relocation to Brooklyn, New York. Simultaneously, he scored the award-winning short films Deader Living through Chemistry and Nico Sabenorio's Bout That Bout, winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival. His innovative score for Zach Clark's Vacation! led one critic to quip "I will never look at a blender the same way again." His first collection of songs, A Week or Maybe More is available on Platitude Music.
