Biography
Starting with a guitar at the age of 17, Franz was already deep into the idea of songwriting. Living in the south of France, his music influence has nonetheless been a huge mix of american music, especially folk with Bob Dylan and other artist from the west coast like Crosby, Still & Nash, not forgetting Neil Young. The first work was in studio by the fall of 1999. This first writing period saw an attempt to write songs in French, his native tongue, although his heart was always into english music. This first period reveals already romantic mood and folk-rock roots. It took almost a decade until he met the producer who will make his dream come true. Oli Le Baron, musician for EMI since the 80’s, has been from all of the great ventures with several bands acclaimed in France. He is the one who understand perfectly his songwriting. Then follows an active period of writing and companionship. Influenced by his friend and drummer Davis Mourgues, Franz leans toward the folk-rock music of his heart. They will play together on national TV M6. Franz played also has opening act at the famous venue « L’Olympia » (Paris) for the French singer Dick Rivers. The album named « The French House » has been released in april 2014. And now the story goes.
