Biography
Cathleen Trezza of Firewisp is an independent singer/songwriter whose soft style reflects the tapestry of seasons and flavors of New England. In September of 2008, she released her debut album, Seeker of Dreams. Her songs blend multi-layered vocals over ambient and classical themes as she weaves tales of far off places and times. Some of her musical themes include Maine light houses, exotic islands, winter wonderlands, and goddesses of legend. Others have described her music as soothing, spiritual, and haunting.

Similar artists include Enya, Loreena McKennitt, and Vengalis.

Here at Airplay Direct, 3 songs from the debut album Firewisp: Seeker of Dreams are available:

First Winter Snows is a song about the simple joys of the first fallen snow. Happy and haunting at the same time, this addictive tune is perfect for the winter holiday season.

Vitae Amandae is a light and airy song written in Latin about things to love about life. It's one of Firewisp's most popular tunes; its relaxing tone and asian influences appeals to fans around the globe. Fans of Enya's music will definitely enjoy this song as it has a similar feel to some of her music.

Possibility is a sensual song about our desires and making them a reality. Tribal drums feel like a heartbeat in this song, which has a more middle eastern feel and reminds one more of Loreena McKennitt's work than other artists in this genre. Men seem to like this song particularly.

Firewisp's music typically appeals to listeners who are older (30+), or like ambient, new age, relaxing music.
