Biography

Like many vocalists, Emily began singing in church at a very early age. Her first exposure to bluegrass came from Russell Johnson of The Grass Cats. Emily's first recorded solo, "Wishing Well Blues", on Russell Johnson's CD, Anytime, Anyplace, But Only You, released 2011, New Time Records.

Just Another Memory, released February 2013; her first solo CD, includes a great mix of songs. Joined by some of bluegrass music's most seasoned veterans, Emily's inspired vocals along with stellar instrumental performers makes a great CD.

Emily lives in Four Oaks, NC and is an honors student in her junior year of high school. She is active in school sports, her church and community. She encourages everyone, no matter what his or her style, to always "Embrace The Music". She recently joined Diamond Creek Bluegrass Band, along with Russell and Kandis Johnson, Spencer Mobley, Stephen Fraleigh and Mitch Walker.
