Biography
Elle Jay started out vocally singing jazz lead, and solo musical theatre pieces at college, followed by vocals for a Christian band. After writing her own material, sh started playing/singing covers and original material at acoustic cafe nights in Liverpool. After recording two demos in 2006 and 2008, she started gigging and showcasing original material around London with guitarist Dan Storey (Mutya Buena, Alesha Dixon) at the start of this year and have since been joined by Sarah Cresswell (percussion), Phil Short (guitar) Phil Simmonds (bass) and Dave Allan (drums).
Her latest pop EP (recorded August 2008) with feisty, emotive and lyrical tracks is on sale from itunes, www.cdbaby.com, www.amazon.com and more. Her music is being played on radio stations nationwide and she works with Deuce, UpAllNight and DeadOrAlive promotions. Elle Jay currently also lead vocals at a Mayfair church.
