Biography

Elijah Jones and The CCs (formerly The Cancellations) is a rock band based in Nashville, TN. Formed in 2019. We are comprised of lead vocal Elijah Jones, rhythm guitarist Erik Matthijs, lead guitarist Anthony Keener, bassist Jared Wuestenberg, and drummer/backing vocal Nicholas Ferrell. Our lyrical content deals with lost love, addiction, disillusionment, and the occasional touch of optimism. Our musical influences include Nirvana, The Strokes, Tom Petty, and others. We are believers in the idea that music should be appreciated in the form of complete albums in the sense that one would not only appreciate a single chapter of a book. Our music tells a story, and we hope to connect with people who identify with that story.
